A practical, self-paced course for anyone who wants to live more sustainably but is unsure where to begin.
No guilt. No perfection. No expensive swaps. Just small, steady changes that add up.
Most people do care about climate change. They just do not always know what to do with that concern.
Steps to Sustainability will help you explore practical choices for your energy use, food, travel, shopping, waste and everyday habits. Work at your own pace, choose what suits your life and build changes that last.

When I had children, it really brought home that the decisions I made were no longer only about me.
They would also help shape the world my children inherited.
I began to see the world not only as it is today, but as it could be tomorrow.
Small, realistic changes will not solve everything on their own, but when they are repeated and shared, they can contribute to something much bigger.
This course will help you introduce practical changes, build on them gradually and create a more sustainable way of living that works for you and your family.
Because when millions of people act, the small things stop being small.
Who can join this course?
You need no prior knowledge. A curious nature in exploring options that can help you, your family and the Planet.
How much time does it take?
Around 30 minutes a week. There is a progress bar on the course so you can see your completion, but the course doesn't need to be linear, you can dip in and out as you need to, and we check and update areas where we believe we can provide additional support.
Do I need to buy special products?
No — it’s about choices, not shopping lists. Most things you can do for free, others are choices. There's ideas there but they are all optional.
Do I get a certificate?
You will receive a Pragmatic completion certificate (10 learning hours).
Do I keep access forever?
Yes. Your one-off payment gives you lifetime access, including any new content we add to the course in the future.
